Digital Identity

Your verified digital identity becomes your key — giving you access exactly when and where you need it.

Your digital identity is created and encrypted, and is used to verify your identity when you need access. In order to create your digital identity, we might require the below information.

  • Your facial biometric profile.
  • Government issued Identity Document or Passport.
  • Proof of residence or employment.
  • Your contact details such as email address and phone number.

Resident/Employee Access

Once your digital identity is created, you can use it to access the property when your access schedule allows access.

Your digital identity also unlocks additional features in the app including the following.

  • Inviting Visitors
  • Emergency Alerts

Visitor Access

Residents and employees can invite visitors to the property. Visitor access is temporary and expires after a certain period of time.

Visitor access is generated by a Resident or Employee, and is sent to the visitor's mobile phone. Types of visitors include the following.

  • Maintenance

Communications

A centralised communications system is used to send important information to the user's mobile phone.

An emergency can be raised by the user, and will be sent to the security team.

For small to medium sized properties with a limited number of users.

  • Up to 200 users
  • Each user can invite up to 100 visitors per month
  • Each user can add 5 frequent visitors per month

How secure is the Access Control platform?

Your data is protected with industry-standard encryption both in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We also use role-based access control, strict authentication policies, and continuous security monitoring to prevent unauthorized access or tampering.

Is the platform compliant with data protection laws?

Yes. We comply with GDPR, POPIA and other relevant privacy laws. Our data-handling policies are regularly reviewed by external auditors to stay aligned with global compliance standards.

Can I request deletion of my personal data?

Absolutely. You have the right to be forgotten. Submit a deletion request through your account or contact our support team, and all personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it.

Do you share or sell user data to third parties?

No. We never sell or share your personal information without your explicit consent. Data is only shared with trusted service providers when necessary to deliver the service, and always under strict confidentiality agreements.

Who can access my data within the platform?

Only authorized keyDentity personnel and your nominated Property Manager or Security Manager with a specific operational need can access limited parts of your data. Every access request is logged, monitored, and regularly audited. Staff undergo security and privacy training, and all access is revoked immediately if it’s no longer required for their role.
